As a very extraordinary financial year has come to an end, managers from Germany met for evaluation on 1-3 September.

Of course, social distancing, face masks and washing hands were important during the event.

Although coronavirus still has an impact on everyday life, JYSK/DÄNISCHES BETTENLAGER made it possible to hold this year’s management meeting for District Managers as a physical event in Hohenroda, Germany.

Of course, social distancing, face masks and washing hands were important and necessary parts throughout the entire days of the event, as emphasised by Country Manager of Germany Christian Schirmer during his welcoming speech.

A chance for exchange

During the three days, the 150 participating colleagues exchanged experiences and results from the last financial year, as well as learned and discussed about upcoming projects, activities and organisational developments for the new financial year.

Among the most discussed news was the fact that from mid-September, new mobile phones will be part of the working equipment in the DÄNISCHES BETTENLAGER stores in Germany.

“I'm particularly excited about the introduction of mobile phones into our work in the stores. It is a step in the right direction, making DBL more modern and also more interesting for future and current employees," says one of the retail managers.

Another highlight was the honouring of the District Managers of the year.
