Dane sets world record in para-long jump

Long jumper Daniel Wagner Jørgensen, a through-knee amputee, set a new world record for the long jump of 6.67 metres at a test event for this year’s Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro.

It is the second time the Dane has taken the world record, which was previously set at 6.53 metres – a difference of 14 centimetres.
