Last week, the Swedish Minister for Higher Education and Knowledge, Anna Ekström, visited the distribution centre, and she was impressed by the way JYSK and the community of Nässjö work together to create job opportunities for immigrants.

"I am very impressed by what I see here in Nässjö, the way employers and the community have succeeded with this project," the minister told Smålands newspaper.

The collaboration with the city of Nässjö began about three years ago. The project, called Industrial SFI, was founded to help more immigrants to join the Swedish society faster. The key being work.

“We have now employed 22 people through this collaborative project,” explains Emil Östlin, who is Production Manager at the distribution centre in Nässjö.
