Since September, mobiles have been introduced in JYSK and DÄNISCHES BETTENLAGER stores in the former DBL Region. While working with the mobile is well known in most countries, for many colleagues in DBL Region this is a change bringing some challenges and a lot of opportunities.

On 15 October 2020, the world’s biggest 3.0 JYSK store opened in Riga, Latvia, with 2,700 square metres of sales area. The extraordinary store was realised after a great team effort from departments in both JYSK and JYSK Franchise.

On 1 November 2020, Store Manager Thomas Hinze celebrates his 30th anniversary in JYSK. For more than 20 years, he has been Store Manager in Sønderborg, Denmark, while he has also travelled the world opening new JYSK stores. Overall, he has helped open the first JYSK store in 13 countries.

This spring’s corona lockdown stopped a lot of activity but not for JYSK’s Customer Service Centres (CSC). They had the busiest time they have experienced yet. Now the pressure is lower, but CSC are still busier than normal.

If you would like an international experience, it is not impossible within the JYSK organisation. Kristina Sørensen moved from a position at the Head Office in Denmark to Head Office in Canada. Her advice is to speak up, if you dream about an international adventure.
